About the RKV30AVJU9

Daikin POLARA R-32 2.5 Ton Cooling Only Ductless ODU

Specifications

Where the RKV30AVJU9 fits

The outdoor condensing unit holds the compressor and the condenser coil; it rejects the heat the indoor coil collected. The RKV30AVJU9 is sold as the outdoor unit only, so it needs a matched indoor coil or air handler with the same refrigerant to make a working system, and the pairing has to be an AHRI-listed match to deliver the rated SEER2.

Single-stage units are the workhorse choice for price and simplicity; two-stage and inverter units run longer at partial load, which improves humidity control and lowers bills in long cooling seasons. Whichever you choose, the outdoor unit is only half of the rating — the indoor match is the other half.

What to check before you order

• Tonnage from a load calculation, and SEER2 against your state’s regional minimum.
• Matched indoor coil or air handler (same refrigerant, AHRI listing).
• Electrical service, disconnect, pad and line set — sold separately.
• Line set length and lift within the manufacturer’s limits.

Installation and service notes

Set the unit on a level pad with the service valves accessible and the manufacturer’s clearance on all sides, run the line set with as few bends as possible, and insulate the suction line the whole way. Pull a vacuum to 500 microns, weigh the charge, and record subcooling and superheat at start-up so you have a baseline for later service calls.
